In diesem für Ensemble hand werk geschriebenen Musiktheater wird die Absurdität, wird die Härte unseres Daseins verhandelt. Das Werk basiert auf fünf kurzen Texten des russischen Schriftstellers Daniil Kharms. Chaya Czernowin verhandelt höchst politisch, aber offen und in visuell eindrücklichen Szenen die Fragen unserer Zeit.
Sie sagt selbst über ihr Werk, das sie als „synesthetic listening event“ bezeichnet:
"This is not an opera, nor a traditional concert, but a hybrid event—where instruments are extensions of the performers bodies, and where light, stillness, and motion are scored alongside pitch and rhythm. Scenes are episodic and atmospheric, unfolding as sonic environments rather than narrative arcs. The theatrical elements are at times ceremonial or every day like and on the other side they might be non-literal, functioning as physicalized musical ideas."
